Spontaneously drove out to LA to grab some donuts at California Donuts and decided to make the most of our drive out and find somewhere to grab a bite. We yelped a few places. Most were taco trucks, but we wanted to try something different. Then we found this!
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Rich is a one man show. He's very personable and outgoing and he makes you feel like you're old friends. Definitely a great trait to have! You can tell that he absolutely loves what he does - that's always a plus. 5 stars for customer service.... even though he's a Clippers fan. lol. Go Lakers!
FOOD
We got the HOT LINK SAUSAGE and an order of BABY BACK RIBS.
The hot link sausage was tasty! It was tender and juicy and cooked to the perfect temperature. It's drenched in Rich's homemade BBQ sauce which is so good.
My favorite though, are the ribs. They are fall off the bone tender and the BBQ sauce makes it a perfect bite.
OVERALL
If I'm ever back in LA, I'm definitely stopping by to grab some BBQ at Rich's spot. -

This is a guy selling bbq in the parking lot of some bar and it's the best bbq I've had in LA. I'm from LA and I've had a few of the finest. This guys shit is the best. I had to go back for seconds.

OMG! The best BBQ in LA! I've been living here for 5 years and have searched all over. Just when I almost lost hope, I found all these great reviews on Yelp and read that people were driving across town for this place and had to come check it out. I'm so happy I did. Bonus: It was 10 minutes away!! My husband and I tried everything on his menu and it was the tastiest, juiciest, RIBS, HOTLINK and BBQ CHICKEN SANDWHICH ever!
The sauce was bomb and fingerlickin' good. Rich even trims all the fat from the meat during his preparation during the week so you never have to worry about wasting a whole rib. I will also add that Rich is so genuine and great to talk to every time we see him. When my husband and I told him that I was pregnant a few weeks ago, he was so happy to hear the good news, he hugged us and congratulated us :) The point is...Don't sleep on this place. Get your behind down to the 4100 Bar on Friday or Saturday. Hours 9am to 2am ---or when he runs out of food haha. Oh and bring cash.

Excellent BBQ. You'll find this conveniently located right outside 4100 Bar. Real cool dude offering ribs and chicken. Ribs are 10, chicken's 8. Cooked real simple but delicious. Love the sauce its drenched in - its the right amount of smoky, and sweet. There's nowhere to sit down other than the bench outside of the bar so its mostly a grab and go kind of deal. Also its only open Fri-Sat after 9p.
